I made a free app called Spelo for practicing spoken English by actually speaking out loud. One of the game modes (“Words”) drops words from the sky, and you have to pronounce them correctly to destroy them before they hit the ground. The app listens to your pronunciation and speaking in real time. We also have structured pronunciation lessons focused on specific sounds like “r” sounds, “th” sounds, and other common problem areas; so it’s not just gameplay, there’s actual guided improvement built in too. The whole idea is to make spoken English practice feel more like a game than studying. Hope you'll explore other modes too. Still improving it and launching on iOS soon, so I’d genuinely love feedback from people trying to improve their spoken English: * does it feel fun or just gimmicky? * is the pronunciation detection accurate enough? * what gets repetitive or annoying? * what would make you come back daily?
